Through lessons in basic song structure, rhyming, movement, and narrative exploration students will have the building blocks they need to star as the lead in their very own musical improv journey. No musical experience necessary.
Prerequisite: Level 2 of H.I.T. Curriculum
Kayla Min
Kayla has been a Harrisburg resident for the past 17 years and has been a patron of the HIT since 2017.
She has been seen on stage performing with teams such as Hawkward and This Mortal Coil. Currently she participates with the musical improv team Barbara--although she is often not seen on the stage, as she is playing the piano for her fellow performers.
Kayla holds degrees in both music education and school counseling, though performing has always been a big part of her life. Of course there were dreams of Broadway...but Harrisburg is a close second.
When she's not at the HIT you can find her reading books or crocheting.
Sarah Scholl
Sarah has been involved in theater arts her entire life. Drawn to the stage at a young age she has performed in, produced, and stage managed productions in Harrisburg, Hershey, and Philadelphia.
In 2015 she began learning and performing at the HIT. Not long after that she discovered musical improv and fell in love with the art. She has been a part of many musical teams at the HIT including Monotone, Tony Stanza, and Barbra and taught Level 1 Musical Improv.
Outside of the HIT Sarah is active in the local theater community and is a committee member of the Harrisburg Fringe Festival.
