We are a performing arts theater offering weekly long-form improvisational comedy shows. Based on a one-word suggestion from the audience, a hilarious and unrehearsed masterpiece will appear right before your eyes.

We offer improv classes for kids and adults.

The HIT is open Fridays 8-11pm and Saturdays 7-11pm. Shows are $5 per show or $10 for the entire night.

Instructors: Timmy Morgan and Tyler Chick

Prerequisite: Musical Level 1

Graduation shows: Friday, May 31, 7pm and Sunday, June 2, 7pm

In this six week class, students will take what they learned in level 1 and dive deeper into musical improv! We’ll focus specifically on creating a narrative musical - studying character building, basic story structure, song structure, ensemble songs, rhyming and more. By the end of this class, students will create a 25 minute improvised off-off-off-off broadway musical!

About the Instructors


Timmy Morgan

Timmy Morgan is an actor/comedian/writer living back in Harrisburg after 10 years of life in LA.  There, starting in 2007, he studied and performed improv with Groundlings and Monkey Butler Comedy as well as appeared in sketches for FunnyorDie.com, web-series and TV shows including ABC’s Wipeout, TruTV’s You Can Do Better .  For 5 years, he performed on his musical improv team, Roadies; a 30 minute narrative-style improvised musical.  They performed on many stages including IO West and Second City.  During the day, Timmy is a professional voice actor,  recording VOs for commercials, TV, industrial videos and video games from his home studio.  You can currently hear him on CBS’s Hope in the Wild on Saturday mornings as well as in DC Universe Online’s game Gotham Wastelands as the voice of Psimon.  When he’s not doing any of that, he’s busy with his other full-time job; dad work.  

Tyler Chick

Tyler is a performer residing in Harrisburg. In addition to recording and gigging with local bands, Tyler has been studying and performing improv since 2013. He is the HIT's senior house team performer, having been a member of "OK Jones," "Spacework," "YETI," "SLAM," "Hawkward," and most recently "Meow Meow Precious." Tyler's past and current shows include "Del and Bel," "One Sword/ One Gash," "Power Trio," and ensembles like "The Bat," "Introduce a Self," "Tiny Town," "Four's Company 2: In Addition Too," "Bemafo," and "Tristitia." Tyler's love for music and improv has been featured in combo live musical artist/improv show "One Accord" and the improvised musical teams "Monotone," and "Tony Stanza." He created musical duo show "An Evening with O'Malley, Martin, and Gates" with pianist Stuart Ryerse. Tyler has recently been exploring the world of scripted theater, including roles in "The Motherfucker With the Hat," Andrew Lippa's "The Wild Party," and "Love, Sex, and the IRS." He was recently cast as Tom in The Glass Menagerie at the Hershey Area Playhouse. His go-to beer is Tröeg's Perpetual.
